three Load Bearing Systems
1. STEEL REINFORCED CONCRETE
Steel reinforced concrete is the original system where steel cages are placed into the cavities of the blocks to become a concrete post and beam network of posts, lintels and beams.
2. STEEL POSTS & TIMBER BEAMS
Steel posts and timber Beams; This is a system where a steel foot or sleeve is attached to the top of the concrete or timber floor. It encases the steel posts that are lifted in once the wall is nearly completed, and connects with the timber lintels and bond beams, forming the load bearing system. The remaining space around the posts and beams is filled with a lightweight perlite/cement mix that is light, insulates and has very good fire resisting properties.
3. FRP/CFT POSTS & BEAMS
FRP (Fibre Reinforced Polymer), or CFT (Composite Fibre Technology) from Wagners® is used as load bearing system. It is light weight, strong and very long lasting plus the most affordable patented system to date. The remaining space around the FRP posts and beams is filled with a lightweight perlite/cement mix that is light, insulates and has very good fire resisting properties.
